Mercenape

Mercenape is an sci-fi action game developed by Team Mercenape. In the game you play as Kesh, a mercenary from the race space-traveling apes. He is sent to the Lost Planet, - a haven to ruins of a fallen civilization overran by mysterious beasts. You defeat waves of enemies in different areas of the planet. 
(Currently only one area, Level 1 is implemented.)

The agile ape that Kesh is uses his movement to outmaneuver enemies that would otherwise overwhelm him. Jumping, blocking, climbing, using the environment for his advantage etc. 

You collect value from the slain enemies to purchase new weapons with different features. The weapons can be upgraded with rare drops from the enemies.

The game also tells the story of Kesh and his fellow Star Apes through cutscenes. 

The build provided here is the beta version. We are using this build to test the game, not just to make the game better, but also get teachers approval to continue this project next summer.
